Is that real? What is it? It would be fun to read more about life in Singapore. I'm sure I'll never see it and my life must be totally different from yours.

it's a kind of cauliflory which are flowers and inflorescences that develop directly from the trunks of trees instead of tips of branches so that they are more accessible to pollinators such as birds, climbing mammals and insects. mostly found in the tropical rain forest which makes it quite a treat to see it in our urban city.

don't think its seasonal. just sentimental drivel on my part.

The buds look like they'd be fun to chase around the floor... and I'd bite a flower petal, just to see what it's like. No flowers here yet.
